At Long Last: A Senior Tour — The Challenge: All Stars Preview and Cast Rankings
For years, I’ve wondered about the potential of a “senior tour” for The Challenge.
Mark Long has turned this dream into reality, nearly single-handedly getting this show made.
All Stars premieres April 1, which means we will simultaneously have a regular Challenge season, a spinoff season and a Real World season going on at the same time.
It’s a good time to be a fan of Bunim-Murray entertainment.
THEME
This season being called All Stars and TJ saying in the trailer that this is to determine “the greatest of all time” is obviously a little absurd.
This cast was clearly intended to be a season filled with OGs, but for whatever reason they decided to market this as it being “the best of the best”.
When I found out this season was being made I was expecting a throwback to the cheesy, Johnny Mosley, Battle of the Sexes/Gauntlet era of the show.
The cast even thought that’s what the season would be like.
Instead, we’re getting a full-fledged Justin Booth and TJ experience, with hardcore challenges that are way more difficult than when most of the cast used to compete.
