Champions: Devin and Tori

Overall Thoughts: Lukewarm. Milquetoast. Tepid.

Those are the words that come to mind about Ride or Dies, and most of the recent Challenge seasons.

Ride or Dies had a solid veteran cast and a decent group of rookies, but other than a few exceptions, it was (for me, at least) an overall dull season.

This was yet another season that mostly felt like a watered-down, PG version of The Challenge, continuing the trend that’s been going on seemingly ever since the Dee incident during Total Madness.

For the third season in a row, it was an overly long 19 episodes. I would say the season started tailing off midway through after Jay/Michele were eliminated, but that would imply the season ever really got off the ground.

Ride or Dies was light on drama and heavy in competition and politics, but the competition and politics weren’t that great.

The aesthetics and music gave this season a combined feeling of slightly upbeat, slightly stoned, and slightly moody. Playing songs like “Iris”…
